Meet The Team
Let’s start the conversation…

In 1994, I moved to Teesside Works, where I implemented vibration monitoring across all departments and allied sites. Four years later, I joined AV Technology. During my time there, I spent a year at Humber Refinery as interim technical specialist, reinstating a centralised monitoring team. I later became Senior Consultant, diagnosing complex machinery problems, delivering in-situ balancing services for offshore Oil & Gas compressors and generation sets, and troubleshooting a wide range of onshore equipment.
In 2010, I founded Pragmatic Maintenance and Reliability Ltd, initially working freelance. My projects have included solving vibration issues in the UK North Sea, offshore West Africa, and the Arabian Gulf; leading the rollout of a condition monitoring programme at Seafield and Almond Valley sewage works; and balancing a 787-tonne flywheel generator at the UKAEA’s Culham JET Fusion site.
I am an ISO-certified Category IV Vibration Analyst with extensive hands-on expertise in thermography, oil analysis, passive ultrasound, acoustic emission, and motor current signature analysis.

I have had many roles at Pragmatic including administration, accounts, equipment sourcing and maintenance. I always enjoy a challenge and we have had many over the last 13 years.
When not at work I enjoy walking our two rescue dogs, walking, art, and sailing.

Known for my strong communication skills and innovative approach, I am dedicated to helping achieve sustainable results and looking forward to working with Pragmatic on the journey to further their success.

My technical knowledge spans Vibration Analysis, Balancing, Alignment, and Transient Analysis using both on-line and portable multi-channel systems, and I’m also a highly experienced trainer in Vibration Analysis, known for my hands-on approach to diagnostics and problem-solving.
I am delighted to be part of the Pragmatic Team, delivering outstanding customer service and supporting our clients to ensure the continued reliability of their operations.
